Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
This policy covers the PlotCheck website (getplotcheck.com), the PlotCheck dealer portal and the PlotCheck app for buyers and dealers (earlier called PlotCheck Dealer), run by PlotCheck (“PlotCheck”, “we”). It explains what we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it. Questions: pakazad55@gmail.com.
Buyers and visitors
You don't need an account to search plots, open a plot or get a dealer's number. Without an account we collect only what you choose to give, plus what is needed to keep the service fair:
- Opening a plot: we count the view for each dealer listing that plot, with a one-way hash of your IP address so the same visit isn't counted twice. The dealer sees a number, not who looked.
- Saved plots without a profile: plots you save in the app are kept on your phone only. They are not sent to us.
- “Show dealer number”: we record that a number was shown, with a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type, to count requests and stop scraping. We never store your IP address itself.
- Messages to a dealer: your name, the phone number or email you give, and your message are passed to that dealer. We also keep the IP address the message came from, to stop spam.
- Reporting a listing: your reason and any note you write.
- Sharing: when you share a plot or open a shared link, we count it with a one-way hash of your IP address.
We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If you sign in on the website we set one cookie that keeps you signed in; it is not readable by scripts and is not used for tracking.
Buyer profiles (optional)
A buyer profile is optional. If you create one we keep:
- Sign-in: your email address, the one-time codes we email you, and when you last signed in.
- What you choose to add: your name, mobile number, city, address or area, and the society and budget you are looking for. Every one of these can be left empty. We don't verify the mobile number.
- Saved plots: the plots you save and the lowest price each had when you saved it, so we can tell you when a price changes or a plot is sold.
When a dealer sees a buyer's details
Only when you choose it. A buyer profile shares nothing with dealers until you turn sharing on, and you can turn it off again at any time under Account, in the app or on this website. There are three settings, all off to start with:
- “Let dealers see when I view their plots”: each dealer listing a plot you open is told that you looked at it.
- “Let dealers contact me about plots I save”: each dealer listing a plot you save is told.
- “Share my details when I ask for a dealer's number”: the first time you ask for a dealer's number we ask whether to share your details with that dealer. Your answer is remembered and you can change it.
When you have chosen to share, that dealer (and the staff member handling the listing) sees:
- your name, your mobile number (marked “not verified”) and your city;
- the society and budget you said you are looking for, if you filled them in;
- which of their plots it was, what you did (viewed, saved or asked for the number) and when.
A dealer never sees your email address or your address, and nothing is shared from a profile without a mobile number. To limit misuse, one buyer's details can reach at most 20 new dealers in a day, and dealers cannot export or download these lists.
Turning a setting off stops new sharing straight away. Dealers you already shared with keep what they were sent until you delete your profile, which removes your details from every dealer's list.
Notifications on your phone
If you sign in to the PlotCheck app and allow notifications, we send alerts to your phone. They are delivered by Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- What we keep: a notification address for your phone (a token that Google issues to the app), whether it is an Android or Apple device, and which account is signed in on it. It identifies the app on a device, not you, and we don't use it for anything but sending these notifications.
- What dealers are sent: a new lead, a buyer's message, changes to their listings, and another dealer marking a shared plot as sold. A notification names the plot and what happened; it never contains a buyer's name or number.
- What buyers with a profile are sent: a price drop on a plot they saved, a saved plot being sold or taken down, and a new plot in the society they said they are looking in. To do this we check saved plots regularly and keep a record of what you have already been told. Buyers are not sent anything between 10 pm and 8 am, and at most 5 a day.
- Turning them off: each kind has a switch in the app under Account → Notifications, and you can block all of them in your phone's settings. The app works the same without them.
- When it is removed: the notification address is deleted when you sign out on that phone, when you uninstall the app, and when you delete your account.
Buyers without a profile, and people using only the website, are not sent notifications and have no notification address stored.
Dealers and their staff
To create and run a dealer account we collect:
- Identity: name, agency name, city, district and province, mobile number, email address, CNIC number, photos of the CNIC (front and back), a photograph, and a licence if you have one. The CNIC number is stored encrypted.
- Listings: plot details, price, description and plot photos you add. Location data inside a photo (GPS) is removed from the photo that is shown, and kept privately to help check listings.
- Allotment letters and other ownership documents you upload. We read the text on them automatically (to find the plot number and check the letter) and PlotCheck staff may review them.
- Seller details entered in older versions of the app (name, CNIC, mobile, address), stored encrypted.
- Staff: when an agency owner adds staff, their name, email and mobile number.
- Sign-in: your email address and the one-time codes we email you.
- Activity: what you do on your listings (for example marking one Sold), recorded with who did it, so changes can be checked and undone.
Why we use it
- To verify dealers and allotment letters, so buyers can compare listings with confidence.
- To show your listings and your contact details to buyers, as described below.
- To keep a buyer's saved plots on their account, and to pass a buyer's details to a dealer when the buyer chose that.
- To send sign-in codes, staff invitations and notices about your listings.
- To prevent fraud, misuse and duplicate or fake listings, and to keep an audit trail.
Who can see what
- Anyone on the website: a dealer's name, agency, city, dealer ID, “Verified dealer” mark and live listings (with photos). The dealer's mobile number is shown when a buyer asks for it; for a listing handled by a staff member, it is that staff member's name and mobile number.
- Other dealers listing the same plot: your name, agency, mobile number, price, listing date and status for that plot.
- PlotCheck staff: everything above, plus CNIC details and images and ownership documents, only to verify and moderate.
- A dealer about a buyer: counts for each listing (views, saves and number requests), which don't identify anyone; and a buyer's details only as described under When a dealer sees a buyer's details.
- Never public: CNIC numbers or images, allotment letters, seller details, private sale prices, photo location data, or anything in a buyer profile.
We don't sell personal data. We use service providers only to run PlotCheck (our server host, our email delivery service, and Google Firebase for delivering notifications), and we may disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account (below), your listings are taken down and your documents, photos, CNIC images, buyer messages and alerts are deleted, and your name, email, mobile number and CNIC number are wiped straight away. We keep only anonymous records, such as an internal ID in the audit trail and plot history, which no longer identify you. Copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Buyer profiles: we keep a buyer profile until you delete it. Deleting it removes the profile, your saved plots, and your details from every dealer you shared them with, straight away; copies in our backups are overwritten within 30 days. Messages you sent a dealer through “Send a message” are not linked to your profile and stay with that dealer.
Deleting your account
Buyers: in the app, Account → Delete my profile; on this website, Account → Delete my profile.
Dealers and staff: you can delete your account yourself, in the app (Account → Delete my account) or in the dealer portal (Profile → Delete my account). See how to delete your account, or email pakazad55@gmail.com from your account's email address and we will do it for you.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). CNIC numbers and seller details are encrypted in our database, and documents are kept in private storage that only PlotCheck staff can open.
Children
PlotCheck is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes, and show the date above.
