Community rules

Community is one board for everyone on PlotCheck: buyers, renters and dealers. Anyone can read it. To post, reply, vote or report you need a PlotCheck account and a display name. Posts go live straight away; PlotCheck checks them afterwards and when they are reported.
Be helpful and kind
- Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, threats, hate or harassment.
- Say what you know and how you know it. If you are guessing, say so.
- Don't accuse a named person or dealer of a crime. Report a scam to PlotCheck instead.
Keep contact details off the board
Phone numbers, WhatsApp, email addresses and links to other websites are refused when you post, however they are written. Links to getplotcheck.com are fine. To reach a dealer, use the contact button on their listing: it is there to protect you from scams.
Photos
Up to 4 photos on a discussion and 2 on a reply. Photos of the site, the street or the building are welcome. No photos of documents (allotment letters, ID cards, transfer papers) and no photos of people: photos that look like documents are hidden until PlotCheck checks them.
Adverts
Dealers can post adverts while PlotCheck allows them. An advert must be marked with the Advert box: it is labelled “Advert”, votes don't lift it, and each dealer can post up to 2 a day (PlotCheck may change this). Selling in an ordinary discussion is taken down. Buyers can't post adverts: a plot is sold through a dealer listing. Everyone can hide adverts with “Hide adverts” on the board.
Votes, reactions and best answers
- Vote up what helps and down what is wrong or off topic. You can't vote on your own posts.
- A post voted down a lot is folded away, and can still be opened.
- The person who started a discussion can choose the best answer. It earns its writer reputation; a high reputation earns the Expert badge.
Limits
For your first 7 days: 3 new discussions and 15 replies a day. After that: 10 and 60. Posts can be edited for 30 minutes. The same text can't be posted twice in a day.
Reports and taking posts down
Report a post with the Report link. When 3 people report a post it is hidden until PlotCheck decides. PlotCheck may keep, hide or delete posts, lock or pin discussions, and suspend members who break these rules, for a time or for good. You hear about it in the app when one of your posts is taken down, with the reason.
To ask for something to be taken down (for example your personal information or a copyright claim), report it or write to pakazad55@gmail.com with the link. To appeal a decision, write to the same address.
What others see
Others see your display name, your posts and photos, your reputation, and a Dealer or Verified dealer badge when your account is a dealer's. Your email and phone number are never shown. Deleting your PlotCheck account removes your name from your posts. See the privacy policy.
